4-H Start Your Sparks!
In 4-H, “sparks” refer to a person’s passions for the different subjects and skills that inspire personal joy and meaningful purpose. Sparks have the power to kindle stronger energy, motivating us and our communities to grow and thrive. Learn more about sparks here!
The Start Your Sparks series will take place once a week over 6 weeks, with older youth able to participate twice a week if interested. Youth will meet at the Ashland County, WI Courthouse on the first floor next to the UW-Madison Extension Office, #107! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle! Start Your Sparks happens Wednesdays & Thursdays!
Ages 13-19: Meets Wednesdays from 3:00-6:00PM starting July 17 and ending August 21.
Ages 5-12: Meets Thursdays from 1:00-5:00PM starting July 18 and ending August 22!
Weekly themes connect to different parts of 4-H Projects:
