Dear Ashland 4-H Community,
It’s been an exciting couple of months since I began my role as the new 4-H program educator for Ashland County. Winter is an active season for 4-H in our region, and I’ve enjoyed meeting so many of you in the Extension Office, at club meetings, and out on the ski trails with CANSKI – what a great community devoted to supporting youth and their interests!
Now that we’re firmly in the midst of mud season, we’re excited to maintain our existing summer traditions while also expanding in new directions. The Spring Art Contest is in full swing, 4-H Summer Camp is right around the corner, and the County Fair will be here before we know it. Stay tuned for more opportunities heading your way throughout the coming months.
Lastly, we want to offer a huge THANK YOU to all of our dedicated volunteers who provide such amazing opportunities for youth in our community. Maybe you’re a passionate club leader, a talented project leader sharing your expertise, or a busy parent preparing snacks for meetings. You are the heart of the 4-H experience, and 4-H wouldn’t be 4-H without you. Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or ideas on how we can make the 4-H experience in Ashland County even better.
Wishing you all the best this spring season. May your maple syrup taste extra sweet and your rhubarb sprout early.
Sincerely, Dave
